Unparalleled Training

You will be training with an experienced ATP FAA Gold Seal Instructor with thousands of hours of GA multiengine time. Our instructors charge a daily rate so you don’t have to be worried about the “meter running”. This includes up to 10 hours of ground and flight training per day. We can use your aircraft or rent from our fleet of Cessna 310’s and pay for the hours you use, typically with a 15-hour discounted block rate, includes the exam. We have full time professional instructors and mechanic on duty to ensure up time.

Standardized Flex Training

With your deposit, you will be sent our proprietary Training Package which includes oral exam study materials, a POH along with the maneuvers you will be performing during your training. This allows you to become familiar with multi-engine aircraft performance, limitations, systems and the exam maneuvers before you arrive. About 30% of our training is ground and the remaining flight instruction. Typically we get in 2-3 flights per day for about 3 (some are completed in 2 days) to include a few mock oral exams with a former DPE.

We are professionals and not time-builders, taking pride in instructing. Our Model Proficiency includes:

  • Cessna 310/336/340/350/400/421/441
  • Piper PA-23/PA-30/PA-32/PA-44/Aerostar
  • Beech Twin Bonanza and Barron

Here are the steps to begin your training:

  1. Call or email us with your interest (424) 235-0683 or info@multi-engine.com. We will answer questions and discuss your experience.
  2. You receive addition information with a tailored estimate in which you can rely.
  3. We confirm test date with the Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and together, build our schedule.
  4. Send in a refundable deposit, receive and study the training material in advance.
  5. Complete training, pass the exam and enjoy your well earned multi-engine airplane privileges.
Do I fly with another student?

No, you will have 100% individual attention. Also, flying with back seaters adds unnecessary risk when flying with an other than forward CG while practicing the required maneuvers. With Multi Engine Time Building you will have a partner.

What are your operating hours?

We are open 7 days a week. Depending on the season we usually start at 7.30am and finish by 4.30pm

Do you you have “block” discounts?

Yes, we have 10 or 15 hour blocks. The 15 hour block is the most cost effective for most ratings which include the exam time. Multi Engine Time Building is only $225/hr with a partner.

Are living arrangements near by?

Yes, hotels and Air B&B accommodations are within 10 minutes of the airport.

What kind of aircraft are available for training?

We fly with a small fleet of Cessna 310s. These aircraft are one of the larger 4-seat twins available and provide a better “heavy” aircraft experience. This better prepares you for the larger aircraft you may fly in the future.

Are there things to do and see in southern Arizona?

Well, I may be a bit biased but I think you will find Southern Arizona to have the most spectacular vistas in the US, especially when seen by air.
